GDPR Essentials: Accountability from DataGuidance on Vimeo.
Sidley, in partnership with DataGuidance, is pleased to announce “GDPR Essentials: Accountability,” the third webinar in a four-part series on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GDPR Essentials aims to help businesses update and develop their policies and procedures to comply with the new GDPR requirements, which will be enforced beginning May 25, 2018.
Intended to standardize data protection measures across the European Union, the updated GDPR will significantly impact companies, both in Europe and around the world, that collect European citizens’ data. One important change introduces potential fines for noncompliance of up to 4 percent of annual worldwide turnover.
The third webinar in our GDPR Essentials series will focus on the legal requirements of GDPR Accountability principles and how to implement them in practice. In particular, our speakers will discuss the obligations surrounding appointment of Data Protection Officers, Privacy Impact Assessments and Privacy by Design and by Default.
Speakers:
Miriam Hall, Group Senior Counsel and Head of Legal at PRA Group
Veroniki Stamati, Information Security Assurance Manager at ACCA
William Long, Leader of the EU data protection practice at Sidley
The final webinar in our GDPR Essentials series will focus on:
- Data Subject Rights
