The purpose of MAPI’s inaugural Employment Law forum is to bring together in-house manufacturing attorneys and executives to share and discuss best practices in Employment law in a vendor-free environment. Come to this one-day, deep dive session to learn the latest developments in employment law that are impacting manufacturers. Sessions will include highlights of the latest employment law developments and peer-to-peer case study examples regarding: (1) US-EU data transfer after invalidation of the data privacy safe harbor; (2) a risk-based approach to classifying employees as exempt or non-exempt under the DOL’s new FLSA regulations; (3) implications of the NLRB’s Browning Ferris decision on using staffing agency temporary employees; and (4) processes employers have developed in response to the new NLRB quick election rules.
