New European Cyber Laws: What You Need to Know

July 23

The EU has adopted several new Cyber Laws that will impact many businesses and will come into force over the next few months (in October in the case of Network and Information Security Directive (NISD2)), but require immediate actions by businesses.

8:00 a.m. PST | 11:00 a.m. EST | 4:00 p.m. BST | 5:00 p.m. CET

RSVP here.

Join Sidley and OneTrust DataGuidance for a webinar on the new EU Cyber Laws, including: NISD2, Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), Critical Entities Resilience Act (CER), and the Cybsersecurity Directive. This discussion will provide you with the key information needed to determine which of these new EU Cyber Laws may apply to your business, what your business is required to do, and by when. These new EU Cyber Laws can impose new detailed cybersecurity obligations and, in some cases, registration requirements, data incident reporting obligations of 24 hours, fines of up to 2.5% of annual worldwide turnover, and personal liability on senior management and legal representatives of the business.

  • Francesca Blythe, Partner, Privacy and Cybersecurity, Sidley (London)
  • William RM Long, Partner and Global Co-Leader, Privacy and Cybersecurity, Sidley (London)

Key topics will include:

  • Will our businesses be subject to the new EU Cyber Laws?
  • What obligations will the new EU Cyber Laws impose on our businesses?
  • How will our data incident reporting obligations be impacted by these new EU Cyber Laws?
  • What practical steps can our businesses take now to deal with these new EU Cyber Laws?
