Harnessing the potential of Big Data for Public Good is key concern for governments, industry and society. To examine these issues, Sidley and Bridges Consulting will be hosting a second roundtable to gather perspectives from government, industry, academic and patient/NGO thought leaders.
We are pleased to welcome Giovanni Buttarelli, European Data Protection Supervisor, as the keynote speaker.
Together, we will address the following questions:
- What impacts on the Big Data for Public Good landscape, in light of the recent entry into application of the GDPR?
- Is enough being done by all stakeholders to inform the public about the potential of big data and privacy issues?
- What policy objectives should the EU institutions, post EU elections, have in the next term to support Big Data for Public Good?
- How can big data help us with “big” public health objectives such as prevention, improving health in the developing world and active ageing?
The meeting will bring together opinion leaders from different sectors including healthcare, telecommunication and technology.
A meeting report will be drafted by Sidley and Bridges Consulting to be shared with the roundtable participants.
Sidley will process delegate contact details for the purposes of organizing and administering this event and for contacting you about future events. Please note that delegate contact details may be passed between Bridges Consulting and Sidley.
